How can the Pulsar be configured?
We include a windows application which allows you to
configure new sensors, alarms, pages and even the data logging.
Can the Pulsar be used with a Mazda engine?
Absolutely! The Pulsar can accommodate a Mazda, Subaru or any other type of automobile or turbine engine you are using.
How does the Pulsar alert you to an alarm condition?
The Pulsar provides both a visual and an audio alert whenever an alarm setting is exceeded. The visual alert changes the color of the alarmed gauge to red and flashes the gauge on the display.
An alarm is acknowledged by pressing the rotary control switch. Acknowledging the alarm turns off the audio alert and stops the gauge flashing. The gauge will continue to display in red until the alarm condition is removed.
Can the Pulsar do a self-test?
Each time the Pulsar is powered on it will undergo a functional self test of its processors, memory and display.
Any problems detected during the power on self-test will be reported to the pilot.
I'm not sure when my plane will be finished. What type of warranty will I get?
We know that a period of time may elapse between your purchase of equipment and when your airplane is ready to fly. That's why we offer a full two-year parts and labor warranty.
Can I preview the Pulsar's operation before installing it in my airplane?
Yes, you can check out the Pulsar in a stand-alone mode. The Pulsar is supplied with a power adapter that plugs into a standard AC outlet. This lets you power on the Pulsar independent of any aircraft installation or wiring. With the Pulsar powered on, you can use the user's guide tutorial to preview configuration menus and operational capabilities.
